What is blind.software?
blind.software is a simple catalog and community space for accessible software, add-ons, tools, guides, libraries, and services. The focus is practical work that blind users, blind developers, and accessibility-minded creators can read, compare, and use.
Who can join?
Accounts are for people who are 18 or older. The join form uses a trust-based age confirmation checkbox; by joining, you confirm that you are at least 18 and that you are joining for yourself, or that you are an approved agent helping a user join.
What does the join form ask for?
The form asks for your name, email address, password, age confirmation, and a simple self-or-approved-agent confirmation. Google sign-in may also be available when configured.
How do submissions work?
After signing in, use Submit software or your account dashboard to add an entry. Submissions can include the project name, creator, category, pricing, source availability, summary, full description, requirements, project URL, GitHub or Gitea links, and tags.
Can I edit or remove my submission later?
Yes. Entries attached to your account can be edited or removed from your account dashboard. Admins can help connect imported or unverified listings to the right creator account.
What can be submitted?
Submit software, add-ons, tools, operating system resources, apps, services, guides, libraries, and other useful accessibility-related projects. The catalog can include free, paid, freemium, donation-supported, open source, source-available, and closed-source work.
Do submissions publish immediately?
Normal submissions are saved under your account. Some community content, claims, or forum posts may be reviewed by staff depending on moderation settings and account trust.
How do forums work?
Members can start topics, reply, and use polls. Newer accounts may have posts reviewed first when moderation is enabled. This helps keep the site readable, useful, and safe.
